The Gaume Jazz Festival takes place over the 2nd weekend in August. It’s all about the music. A stream of 25 groups playing alternately on 5 stages at the Rossignol cultural centre site. The festival covers a variety of musical genres, from pure jazz to more modern music (jazz rock, funk, electro, etc.), new works, free style, Belgian premieres, local artists, and the young Belgian and European jazz generation. In short, there is plenty for you to discover! The Gaume Jazz festival, in its lush green environment, also celebrates the coming together of different audiences: connoisseurs, newcomers, tourists, locals, the young and the not so young, families, etc. With over a hundred performers from Belgium and 15 other countries, the festival sets out to explore what's happening on Europe's stages.
